Innovation Plaza

We’ve created a new meeting place named Innovation Plaza that adds a new dimension to our Symposium – it is an alternative communication and presentation platform that allows us to reinforce the dialogue with you.

Take a journey through the world of Güntner!

There are several “stages” where we offer you insights into different areas of our business and exclusive previews on future innovations. Get to know actors and players who usually remain behind the scenes and share your concepts and ideas with us. In short: Let us have your direct feedback!

At our stages, besides our brands and business divisions, there will be several topic stages where we focus on the following issues:

> Exclusive advance information for you as selected customer

> Exchange of views in special felds such as QM Service and Technology & Pre-Development

> Discussion forum on prototypes, concepts and ideas – your feedback is welcome!

As we wish to maximize opportunities for talks and discussions, you can visit the Innovation Plaza right upon arrival.

Friday, September 20 - Dinner at Kufstein Fortress

Kufstein Fortress, one of the most impressive medieval buildings of the Austrian province of Tyrol, is the landmark of the town of Kufstein. In its eventful history that began more than 800 years ago, the walls of this fortress have witnessed many historic events: they had been conquered several times, used as residence and later as prison... These days, the building is a popular destination for excursions.

Inside the fortifcation walls, there is a lot to discover: The former barracks construction of the castle houses Kufstein‘s local history museum. The Bürgerturm tower houses the organ pipes of the Heroes’ Organ, the largest free-standing organ in the world, with the key desk of the organ being located at the foot of the fortress.

There is a mysterious subterranean rocky path and you can take a look into the almost 60-metre ‚Deep Well‘. On the impressive outdoor area, you will fnd typical fortifcations including canons.

Against this historical backdrop, we will spend our festive evening: following a welcome aperitif, we will enter the Kaiserturm tower at around 8 pm and then enjoy the famous Tyrolean cuisine in this unique atmosphere.

Prior to the dinner, you may discover the historical mysteries of the castle walking along the adventure circuit (either guided or self-guided).

Take a trip back in time with us!

Saturday, September 21 - Social programme

Group 1: Visit to Tratzberg Castle

This architectural jewel dates back to the Renaissance and nestles in the Inn valley between Jenbach and Schwaz. From the bottom of the mountain, you will take the ‚Tratzberg Express‘ panorama train to the castle that is located on a steep ridge approx. 100 m above Jenbach.

Experience 500 years of history frst-hand and in 3D taking the 360° Virtual Reality Tour that takes you into a world of knights, emperors and noblemen before you explore the castle during an exceptional adventure tour and let your eyes wander across the Inn valley.

Group 2: Hike through the Tiefenbach Gorge

The wild Tiefenbach Gorge, approx. 4 kilometres long, is located between the communities of Kramsach and Brandenberg. It offers hikers a fantastic experience of nature in a breath-taking river landscape. Follow the well-secured trail along the turquoise ‚Brandenberger Ache‘ river upstream to the cosy snack bar of the Tiefenbach Gorge.

On your way, you will cross the roaring torrent three times. At the highest spot of the gorge, a viewing platform provides an awesome view of the narrow gorge.

Group 3: Ceremonial driving down of cattle from the mountain pastures into the valley in Reith

When, at the end of summer, the cows are driven down from the mountain pastures to the village, it is always a giant event: The pot-bellied beauties are elaborately adorned with gorgeous ribbons, colourful signs for the head and happy sounding bells. From noon on, the frst cows will trot through the village centre of Reith in the Alpbach Valley. While waiting for the next “returnees”, let wandering alphorn players, whip crackers and numerous local folk music bands from Tyrol entertain you.
There are food stalls everywhere offering real delicacies, and why not trying genuine specialties offered by regional farmers at the great farmer market?

You may participate in this event only if the bus departure at 3 pm allows for enough time for your journey back home.

Group 4: Cable car ride up the Wiedersberger Horn and hike to the peak

Simply wonderful: Enjoy the beautiful panorama from the mountain top of the Wiedersberger Horn!

A cable car will take us to the top before we will have an easy walk on a well-trodden panorama trail offering splendid views of the mountains and meadows of the Tyrolean Alps. And, if you wish, you can climb up to the summit cross. Fresh air and the view – a very relaxing tour.

Group 5: E-bike tour around Alpbach (This event is already fully booked)

„Tailwind tour“: Get on your e-bike and follow your guide on this easy tour around the „most beautiful village of Austria“.

Via extensive bicycle paths, you will follow charming meadow paths, ride along steep slopes and through picturesque villages... Including great views of the breath-taking landscape of the Alpbach valley.
